I always ask myself: “How long have I been here?” Before three weeks ago, I arrived in Toronto. It is true that I feel nervous a little bit. Though I feel more uncomfortable than living in Korea, Toronto life is very interesting for me. One of the most important reasons is relations with new people. When I came to Toronto, I met my homestay family (I called them ‘Grandmum’ and ‘Grandfather’ because they are very old and I don’t have grandparents). There are totally different something between my homestay grandparents and I. For example, they have green colour eyes and blond hair. Moreover they always eat pasta or spaghettis at dinnertime. We are very different from culture, food and mind. However, I know that they are very kind people. When I went into home late, they were worried about me always. They always say ‘take care’. When they look at me, I feel comfortable now. Also, my international friends make me happy. We have totally different cultures, consideration, and figures. However, we don’t care. My international friends and I want to know each other deeply. Thus, we want to have much time together in order to talk to each other. Though we can’t speak English very well and we had totally different cultures, we feel emotion together. There are a large number of pleasant experiences as above mentioned in Toronto.
