What are some advantages of studying online?
It’s convenient; you can study at home, school or office any time you choose
It’s economical; you can study through an accredited American university for much less than you would pay to travel to the U.S.
It’s individual; you can complete the course at your own pace.
Will I have an instructor?
YES! You will have direct contact with your instructor who will provide individual responses to your assignments. All of the instructors are currently teaching these same courses on campus at Concordia University, Portland, Oregon.
Do I have to be a university student to take these courses?
NO! Although university students may benefit from these courses, students in high schools, employees in business, and anyone wanting to improve English skills will find these courses helpful.

When are the classes?
The courses will begin August 25 and end December 12. You can take the course anytime during that time period and work as quickly as you like. However, the material is designed to be completed within approximately 14 weeks.
What courses are offered?
Developing Written English provides instruction and assignments on good paragraph writing as well as development of the standard essay in English. A review of grammar and mechanics, and
an optional unit on preparation for the TOEFL written exam.
Business English provides instruction on
writing business documents including memos, letters, reports, and resumes and understanding cross-cultural communication.
Optional units on business ethics and vocabulary for the TOEIC test are also available.
