CELCIS students and staff had a wonderful time on the FAll 2005 semester trip to Mackinac Island. We stopped at Hardwick Pines State Park on the way, visiting the logging museum and viewing old growth trees during a walk in the woods. Students took many photos of the Mackinac bridge as we crossed from the lower part of Michigan to the upper part. After an enjoyable evening in Mackinac City, we all took the ferry to Mackinac Island and spent the day riding bikes, shopping, seeing the sights, and eating on this famous island with no cars. The weather was perfect. Even the bus ride home was fun, as students sang songs, talked, laughed, and even danced all the way.
